Bound for Pulpfest!
Hey, Flinch fans! We are Pittsburgh-bound in the next 24 hours as Pulpfest 2025 gets underway on Thursday, August 7 and continues through mid-day on Sunday, August 10.
Like every other year, we’ll be in the dealer room all weekend with all sixteen titles in our catalog, including the recently released SGT. JANUS AND THE HOUSE THAT LOVED DEATH, the fourth book in Flinch co-founder Jim Beard’s acclaimed Sgt. Janus series.
In addition, you can catch one or both of us in a couple back-to-back Friday afternoon presentations. At 12:30pm, John Bruening – the other Flinch co-founder – will sit on a panel with a handful of other writers and pulp historians to discuss “Personal Demons and the Creative Mind.” Immediately following at 1:00pm, John and Jim will convene for their (sort of) annual Flinch Fest, which will cover a lot of ground in a single hour: readings from their latest work, a cover reveal of John’s upcoming 2025 release, THE MIDNIGHT GUARDIAN: MARCH OF THE GIANTS, and a celebration of Flinch Books’ tenth anniversary.
Advance registration for Pulpfest is closed at this point, but if you’re anywhere in or around the Pittsburgh area this weekend, you can still register at the door, even if just for a one-day visit on Friday or Saturday. Stop in, say hi, and see what Pulpfest and Flinch Books are all about!
